Enthusiasts of Noise (EP 2015)

1..Paracetamol

2..European City, American Town

3..High Score

4..Rebellious Holiday

5..Day Off

Released in the Spring of 2015, Enthusiasts of Noise hit the digital music streaming world like the invisible man on a foggy morning. The songs themselves explore heavy rock parody and Velvet Underground style story telling such as on the track 'Day Off' which tells the tale of an office worker feigning sickness to get out of work. However, he developes an unholy alliance of drug induced paranoia & ego inflation whilst sneaking out to get milk and bread.

2 Columbo Genius.jpg
Columbo Genius (EP 2015)

1..Here Comes Love

2..Librarian Violence

3..Zombie Hunting Blues

4..Washing Machine

5..Dying Hard With Lethal Weapons

Released in the Autumn of 2015, Columbo Genius was the second EP released by the band that year. Continuing with the 'Rock Story' theme of the first EP, Columbo Genius delves deeper with 'Washing Machine' a tale about an office worker's ilicit afair with his attractive boss and a cleaning appliance in her trendy minimalist apartment. 'I love you like a washing machine coz I go in dirty and I come out clean,' is the line of total affirmation.

3 Jungle Shooze.jpg
Jungle Shooze (Single 2019)

1..Jungle Shooze

2..Hot Chemistry

After almost four years of writing serious music and making countless demos, the band scrapped everything and in the Spring of 2019 released 'Jungle Shooze' a stomping, groove addled swamp rock head-spinner influenced by Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Happy Mondays.

4 Dead Generation.jpg
Dead Generation (Single 2019)

1..Dead Generation

2..Day Off (Re-worked version)

April 2019 came and provided an opportunity for another single release. 'Dead Generation' draws the interesting comparison between the original generation of youth corrupted by the Television and latest which has been corrupted by online video streaming. 'Sun's out, Nuns out, drinking rum,' states the singer for no obvious reason. It's a very intellectual composition and a high mark in the band's career in randomness

5 Coastal Girl.jpg
Coastal Girl (Single 2019)

1..Coastal Girl

2.. High Score (Re-worked mix)

Arpril 2019 was a productive month for the band. Not only was 'Dead Generation' released, but also 'Coastal Girl,' a modern surf song about a crazy sports-clothes wearing girl of the coastal underclass. 'A coastal girl, she's pretty kinda cool, she doesn't miss anyone from school, she doesn't care if you run this town, you're just another cliche hanging around, she's a bingo Queen, only seventeen, plus another ten years for all the crap she's seen.

6 Holographic Jesus.jpg
Holographic Jesus (Single 2019)

1..Holographic Jesus

2..(My Name is) Michael Cocaine

'Holographic Jesus,' released in June 2019 was a change in direction for the band who behind the scenes continued to work on more serious projects. One of these serious projects, however, wasn't Holographic Jesus, which instead focussed on video games, girls, drugs, paranoia, and alien invasions. The B side '(My Name is) My Cocaine' examines the philosophical dimensions between underground boxing clubs, Angelic revolution, and vampires traveling on overnight trains.

7 Roadkill Cafe.jpg
Roadkill Café (Single 2019)

1..Roadkill Café

2..Better Than Disneyland

August 2019 saw the release of 'Roadkill Café', a song about dreams coming true - very strange dreams that feel very much like they've been written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.

'Let me tell you about my new addiction, she dresses like she's in Pulp Fiction, we drive around like we're Roman Gods, but her Mom says we're more like... Reservoir Dogs'

8 Death T.V.jpg
Death TV (Single 2020)

1..Death TV

2..Tears of Victory

February 2020s 'Death TV' continues the Sonic Vacation tradition of serious unserious music. This time, though, the hopefulness is lost, replaced by a sneering melancholia and sarcastic nihilism easily observed in such lyrics as 'Give me death TV, give me something to shout, give me something to do before we all strike out, no I don't believe it's the end of the days, but if it is I wanna die wearing my shades'

9 Vampire Coast EP.jpg
Vampire Coast (EP 2020)

1..Vampire Girls

2..Actress Dead

3..Murder Capital Bordello

4..Vampire Coast Suicide Mission

Released in April 2020, the Vampire Coast EP sinks its fangs deep into the world of seedy supernatural coastal blood suckers. In a town overflowing with vampires, bars, and rollercoasters you're sure to have fun while you run for your life.

10 In Fantasy We Trust.jpg
In Fantasy We Trust (Single 2020)

1..In Fantasy We Trust

2..A Sense of Freedom

In June 2020 The Sonic Vacation let 'In Fantasy We Trust' escape into the world. The song itself bristles with hope and optimism: 'Sympathy is heroin if it's something you desire but do not need' is almost something you'd read in a self-help book, and 'Out in the shadows, you hang like gallows' is a line that paints a vivid picture of a colourful and well-functioning society. In the end, it's a song that reveals the truth of love - and compares it favourably to the legendary three cups and balls trick.

11 Black Sedan.jpg
Black Sedan (Single 2020)

1..Black Sedan

2..Some Angel Shining

'Black Sedan' released in the fall of 2020. As with 'In Fantasy We Trust,' the band experimented with more electronic elements and deeper, yet more indefinite lyrics.

The B side - Some Angel Shining - reaches exciting new levels in serious emotional depth and sense of wistfullness - 'Somehow your heart is like the rain in fall, you see behind the waterfall, and every tear an answer to a call'

12 This is The Killing Field.jpg
This is The Killing Field (Single 2020)

1..This is The Killing Field

2..Insanity Cures

In November 2020, The Sonic Vacation released 'This is The Killing Field' with acompanying B side 'Insanity Cures,' a song about going mad in a world that is already so mad that going mad might not be mad enough to fit in. 'Don't watch me falling through the doors, coz I'll let you know if insanity cures'

8..The End of The World (is Yours!)

9..Depth And The Shallows

10..Speed Hound

March 2022:After writing at least ten debut albums of serious music... and then scrapping them, Sonic Vacation finally succumbed to their facination with B movies from the 1980s and wrote a whole album inspired by 1980s B movies that exist only in a parallel dimension. Movies such as 'Psycho Cinderella' where an insane, pigtailed cheerleader cuts the throats of her friends with the use of a broken glass slipper. There is also machine guns and some mysterious nuns.

5..Tales

6..Hexagon

7..Whiskey Vampire

8..Jenny-Louise

9..She Hangs Around

10..Lions

January 2023: The Follow up album 'Inhale The Stars' departs from the B Movie influences of the first album and instead, focusses on the desperate and comical lives of those living in a small town of un-named proportions on the edge of the wilderness. One of the main differences of this album, however, is that all the stories are true.

15 Meth Patrol.jpg

7..A shot of Fun to The Head

8..Dreamers

10..Hurricane

Third album: 'Meth Patrol' was injected into the world in the Autumn of 2023 to the notice of a small number of confused faces. Moving away from small town desperation, 'Meth Patrol' relocates to the big city, rediscovering the Tarantino influence of earlier works. This time, though, there is a joy in the desperate madness and maybe a little divine intervention...
